THE PALE WALLS

These pale walls reflect the pale walls
That hear the pale walls, Who see's the pale walls
Who needs the pale walls, Pale walls, Who is I?
Go see the pale walls if you hear it like my...

Pale Walls, Giving nothing back,
Soaking up delay with the ambient soundtrack
Sponging up decay, Swallowing my whole day
Piece by piece, The puzzle fits awkwardly at least!
A thousand scholars with a million books
Take a billion looks and find a trillion quizzing's
The blistered thumbs and retina movements have become
The micro-orchestration of one
Lead you down a path which sidetracks math
Definite answers not required on this plaque
A declaration only that the pale walls doth speak
So I listen closely to them and they aid this speech
As I try to leach and eat from the giant peach
Like a thousand browsers with a million hits
Take a billion bits to declare who's the pits
There's surely more worthy usages of wits
Not so amadeus, But who will play us?
Even OK us? Then pay us? Trust me!
Financially rusty, Rather trust a crusty
With the hard earned bingo narrative, Big and busty
Unless you hear this lingo with a big band swing
The poetry is like Me as a young Sinatra sings
His heart out like blackbirds in a pie
So endeavors to write it like a nursery rhyme
On usury crime, dilemmas with the dime
Could'nt buy a penny black stamp in the post office line
Those post office lines, you know who did the time
Crippled, Stumped and bankrupt but still no erupt
You know who got it sussed, The ones who fail to
Cuss, A whacking great tour bus!
Hark at the insignificants that I lust for
What the bleep you expect when I'm pleading it poor
Pale Walls...

These pale walls reflect the pale walls

Pale Walls, Illuminated by gas light
In less luminous times, yesteryear's last night
Often ate fish without a satellite dish
Synchronizing time, now everybody's got chips
All with a lot of bits, So nobody uses scripts
Old habits sink like inflatable rubber shit
So don't plan to empty the pan without consent and
Wash us all away. A clearer way to put up the rent
Technology went for an indian with progress
Over balti discussed the future's present tense
A time when appliances last three years
You got four store cards with a load of arrears
You should've watched 'killer sharks live on five' for a hint
You got chewed up, spat out and left for a stint
Turn to sediment, sink into the crust, I'll be back
Fifty million years from now in a limestone stack
We're long term, baby, With multiple erosion
No lava trap implosion, funnel up the tunnel with a
Bastard of a blast of basalt, New stone!
Newly formed soft rock, Containing no backbone
Fossilized artifacts pre-date the acts
Floating lumps of pumice soak up the facts
A thousand fountains, Over a million years
Will make a billion mountains, Which will all disappear

Word up Pale Walls.

Digging the tunes and ting.

Minky.

Dear PW

Really like the song, but feel i must point out some errors in your knowledge of Geology!
1. You refer to 'Basalt' as a 'Soft rock' when in fact it's an incredibly dense and hard rock in comparison. 2. Technically sediment builds up periodically on top of the crust rather than sinking into it. despite these errors, its still a good tune and I look forward to hearing more soon!
